“Savor the little moments, that’s my advice. They’re what life is. All the little things that happen while we are waiting for something else” -Joe Abercrombie
Hey so it’s a new year and with that I like to set a yearly intention. This year my goal is to savor life more. Of course when we think of the word savor we all think of food. Yes that’s part of it, but what I mean is enjoying the moments in this fast paced world.
I am a bonified over achiever. I am always multi tasking. I multi-task so much I am multi tasking my tasks. Maybe it is being over 40, but I find myself just wanting to savor or cherish the moments. To truly experience them without racing through to get from one thing to the next or to check ✔️ another thing off of my to do list. I am tired of riding the go go go train.
So in 2019 I am going to be setting an intention to savor moments. To truly eat my food and really taste it not just chow down because I barely made time for lunch. To spend time with my kids focusing just on them instead of trying to juggle a million things at once. To find my joy in exercise again instead of just doing it to get it done. Plus, I would love to take the time to work on my blogging craft and not just be bogged down with analytics and ootd stuff.
If you find yourself also in need of a slow down reset. I hope you join me in the year ahead to discover new ways to slow down and savor life. This glorious gift we are all racing through instead of savoring it.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Cheers lovelies 🥂
