Micro hotels are becoming vastly popular especially with the rise of VRBO and AirBnb. Brady and I experienced our first micro hotel at Hotel Pikku in Duluth, MN with pikku meaning little one in finish.
If you have traveled to Duluth, MN you will notice that you are hit by chain hotels that can cost you a small fortune for even just a fun weekend away. Hotel Pikku is a 3 suite hotel for people that support local artists with the pottery and decor. Located in the up and coming hotspot of Lincoln Park Craft District you will have plenty to do just steps from your door including our favorites OMC smokehouse (a must if a fan of BBQ fare), Frost River Tradery, and Bent Paddle Brewery.
We will for sure be adding Hotel Pikku to our list of must stay places in the future. The suites decor was Finnish inspired simplicity yet with touches of local pieces. We loved the energy of the Lincoln Park area and mornings with our Almanac. The rates are mind blowing for a room this size. If in Duluth I highly recommend checking out Hotel Pikku.
