Home for the Holidays

2020 has been quite the year and no surprise it is pushing its ways on our Holiday Season. Many of us are being asked or ordered to stay home and limit the number of people we will be celebrating with this year.

Well 2020 I have something to tell you! You will NOT be ruining our holiday cheer. I can’t wait to be smelling the turkey, mashed potatoes, and warm pecan pie. Speaking of pie! I plan to accompany mine with my Winter Blend Cameron’s Coffee this season or maybe the Creme Brûlée or heck even the White Chocolate Peppermint. Yummy! All of Cameron’s Coffees seasonal blends are smooth, unique, and make the perfect addition to all of our holiday traditions. This is going to be a season to remember and we plan to live it up. Here are a few ways we will be celebrating.

1. Holiday Dinners: I am going to let you in on a little secret… this will be my first Thanksgiving Dinner I have ever prepared myself. However I have to be honest I am kind of excited about it. I of course am preparing my mom’s favorite dishes, but I am going to add a couple new dishes just for kicks. I saw this Pinterest recipe for a sweet potato soufflé that looks heavenly, so give a new recipe a try.

2. Baking, Baking, Baking: With some extra time at home and a very bored teenage daughter we are going to be making tons of yummy treats. We plan to wrap some up and drop them off for neighbors ding dong ditch style! Who doesn’t like a sweet treat.

3. Video Chats: No reason to feel alone this holiday season. We will be scheduling Zoom chats with our parents and families during the festivities. I am crossing my fingers I can get the kids to sing a couple Christmas Carols to their grandparents.

4. Online Shopping: Ok another little secret…I do not like going to stores for Christmas so this is an easy one for me to do. The sales are amazing online this year and you don’t even have to leave your home. No mask required.

5. Family Memories: Sometimes change brings with it the best memories. While 2020 may be a bit different than what we are used to we will be documenting it all and making new memories for years to come. More crafts, more laughs, and more togetherness. Most parents say their kids grow up so fast, this is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a bit more time with them.

I truly hope you all enjoy your holiday season this year. I am tipping my coffee glass in cheers to you at the moment while dunking my peanut butter blossom cookie in it. As old St Nick would say Happy Holidays to all and to all a good night!
