Tis the Season for Some Cold Brew

Spring is in full swing and with that comes sunshine, flowers, and cold brew. This year is exceptionally different with Covid lockdowns still happening all over the country, so why not take the time to try and make your own cold brew. Cameron’s Coffee just re-released their seasonal Cold Brew Blends to make brewing at home so simple.

Cameron’s Cold Brew (what it looks like prior to putting in fridge to steep)

How to Brew your own cold brew coffee using Cameron’s Cold Brew Blend

Take 1 cup Cameron’s coarsely ground Cold Brew Blend and combine with 6-8 cups cold water in your cold brew maker of choice (French Press, mason jar, cold brew maker, etc.) Steep in refrigerator for 12-24hrs then filter out coffee grounds. If you’re using a cold brew maker, this can be done by simply removing the mesh infuser. If you are using a mason jar or other container (like I do), I’d recommend filtering through a coffee filter or cheese cloth. Viola your own cold brew right at home. Depending on your strength preference you can add additional cold water, milk, or even my favorite sweet cream recipe below.

We have enjoyed it so much that I have made baskets to deliver to people with some cold brew, a sweetened traditional cold brew, and fresh flowers to spread some sunshine and happiness.

Sweet Cream Recipe ( I will give both a dairy and nondairy option)

Ingredients

-1 cups heavy whipping cream (can substitute with coconut cream)

-1/2 cup sugar

-2 tsp vanilla

-1 cup whole milk or favorite milk alternative

Directions

Place cream in a pan, heat over medium heat until bubbling. Add sugar, stirring constantly, cook for approx 1 1/2-2 min. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and milk. Store in fridge. Add desired amount to your cold brew.

I hope this special treat helps to kick of this warm weather and to hear you are sitting in your favorite outdoor spot with a glass of your own Camerons Blend Cold Brew. Happy Spring!
